Create your own dashboard using PowerBI

What are Dashboards?

A dashboard is a visual display of all of your data. While it can be used in all kinds of different ways, its primary intention is to provide information at-a-glance, such as KPIs.

A dashboard usually sits on its own page and receives information from a linked database. In many cases it’s configurable, allowing you the ability to choose which data you want to see and whether you want to include charts or graphs to visualize the numbers.

7.1 Power Bi Dashboard

Creating a Dashboard in PowerBI

This dashboard will be created using various visualizations for different fields and it will be shown in the reports tab of Power BI.

We will create a dashboard that will show us a representation of the product, its actual prize, and the prize at what it had been sold.

7.2 Creating a Dashboard

Once you select the fields you are going to need to select a proper representation for them. In this case, we are going to use a clustered column chart from all the options available.

7.3 Clustered Column Chart

After you select the representation type the graph will be generated accordingly in the view panel.

To view the comparison chart as a table you need to right-click on the chart and select the “show as table” option.
